Macire Aribot Ashford

Co-Founder and Co- Executive Director

Macire Aribot Ashford is the co-founder and Co-Executive Director. Her expertise ranges from economic and political development, civil society, women rights, and diaspora investment in SMEs. Macire has a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.

Nassim Ashford

Co-Founder and Co- Executive Director

Nassim Ashford is the Co-founder and Co-Executive Director. His expertise ranges from global health, food and agriculture, legislative affairs, emergency preparedness, and technology. Nassim received his Master of Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health.

Koree Badio

Community Wellness & Health Liaison

Koree S. Badio is a PhD candidate at the University of Florida. Resting at the intersection of mental health, faith, and human rights advocacy, Koree strives to promote loving wellness & restorative justice for marginalized & systematically undervalued youth and women through healing interventions, program development, public speaking, and scholar-activism.

Dzidedi Azumah

Program Associate

Dzidedi Azumah is a Program Associate. She is deeply passionate about the protection, sharing, and creation of cultural heritage from African and African-descended communities. Dzidedi is a graduate of Yale College and received her Master's degree at the Geneva Graduate Institute.

Tanaka Cliff Nhokwara

Ukraine Lead

Tanaka Cliff Nhokwara is NoirUnited's Ukraine Lead supporting community programming throughout Eastern Europe. He is a Medical School Graduate from Ternipol State Medical University in Ternipol, Ukraine. He is passionate about healthcare innovation and making a meaningful impact on global health outcomes.

Tibi Zabasajja

Program Associate

Tibi Zabasajja is a Program Associate. She is Ugandan-American and passionate about human rights advocacy, social impact, and fostering a community within which everyone’s human dignity is upheld and respected. Tibi is currently a senior at Northwestern University.

Cheyenne Kamau

Communications Associate

Cheyenne Kamau is a Communications Associate. She is Kenyan-American and passionate about health equity, ethical foreign policy, and equal opportunities. Cheyenne is a graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Health Studies and International Affairs.

Mayah Waltower

Research Associate

Mayah Waltower is a Research Associate. She is pursuing her Masters of Public Policy at Georgia State University and dedicated to creating positive social change through evidence-based decision-making. She is explores the impacts of U.S. policy (both formal and informal) on the greater global sphere.

Khadijah Diallo

Communications Associate

Khadija Diallo is Communications Associate supporting NoirUnited’s diaspora engagement efforts. She is Guinean-American and a senior at American University, studying International Studies at the School of International Service. She is passionate about diplomacy and environmental sustainability within international development.

Anne Jean Baptiste

Program Associate

Anne Jean-Baptiste is a Program Associate supporting NoirUnited’s youth engagement program. She is a Haitian-American with a background in public health and international relations. Anne recently graduated from Emory University with a Master’s in Development Practice (MDP). Her passion lies in the intersection of global health and sustainable development.

MaryHelp Chisom

Ukraine Program Associate

MaryHelp Chisom is NoirUnited's Ukraine Program Associate supporting community programming throughout Eastern Europe. She is currently a medical student at the Kyiv Medical School based in Poland.

Sumaya Mohamed

Communications Associate

Sumaya Mohamed is a Research Associate supporting our policy and advocacy initiatives. She is a graduate of American University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a focus on the global economy, and a minor in Economics. She also studied Economic History at the London School of Economics.

Beza Assefa

Research Associate

Beza Assefa is a Research Associate supporting NoirUnited's policy and advocacy initiatives. She is a graduate of Tufts University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations with a concentration in Economic Globalization and Spanish.

Collins Vaye

Program Associate

Collins Vaye is a Program Associate. He is a Ph.D. candidate at Florida International University (FIU) in engineering and computing education. He is passionate about access to education #SDG4 and the transformative power of technology in education. He is pursuing a doctoral degree in engineering and computing education.

Aissatou Balde is a Communications Associate. She is a student at American University studying Public Relations and Strategic Communication with a minor in Sociology.
