OUR STORY

NoirUnited International was founded in 2020 in response to the death of George Floyd and the global call for racial justice. Our organization emerged from a deep commitment to addressing the root causes of systemic challenges affecting Black and Brown communities worldwide. Starting with a microgrant initiative that supported Black-owned businesses in Atlanta, Georgia, we quickly expanded our focus to encompass health, development, and humanitarian response initiatives, creating sustainable impact through community-centered solutions.

We focus on areas such as youth and education, community resilience, and advocacy, engaging communities to co-create the solutions they need most. Through partnerships with local leaders, civil society, diaspora networks, international organizations, and government entities, we strive to ensure equitable access to resources and protect the rights of African and diaspora communities.

Our commitment was put to the test in 2022, when the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine left thousands of African and international students displaced and facing discrimination. NoirUnited stepped in, providing critical support to over 1,500 individuals through humanitarian assistance, access to legal resources, and mental health support. This response, just one example of our global impact, displaying our mission to stand with marginalized communities in times of crisis.

Through training, advocacy and community-building we equip young people with the tools they need to drive change. By amplifying underrepresented voices and sharing untold stories, we empower communities to reclaim their narratives and shape their futures.

NoirUnited is a movement led by those it serves, committed to creating a world where all communities have the opportunity to thrive and build resilient futures.
